I will stamp all over 'legitimate combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the combatants confronted each other to promote next month's bout.

Former two time world boxing king Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Fighter's Mindset

"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to really want to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

Despite these statements, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually famous for his dramatics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul instead attacked former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

However, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, frequently receiving substantial financial rewards.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.

"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters participated in the usual face-off, with their physical disparity on show, it drove home just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the match is really proceeding.
